These tutorials will be aimed at early career engineers and researchers – working in universities or industry – who wish to enhance their ceramics background. Topics to be covered are ceramic powder synthesis, wet processing and mechanical testing at micro and macro scales. Tutorial sessions will cover state-of-the-art ceramic processing techniques and advanced mechanical characterisation.

Presenters will include:

  • Prof. Jerome Chevalier (INSA Lyon, France)
  • Prof. Bill Clegg (University of Cambridge, UK)
  • Dr Tim Clipsham (Morgan Technical Ceramics, UK)
  • Dr Urs Gonzenbach (ETH, Zurich, Switzerland)
