Advice and courses on research design and methodology
What is the SAS?
The Statistical Advisory Service exists to provide statistical consulting services to clients within Imperial College and external public and commercial bodies. We use methodology which reflects the latest developments in statistical research, and provide training in statistical methods and software.
The Statistical Advisory Service is a unit set-up to help all the staff and postgraduate students working in Imperial College with advice, support and practical help in carrying out research, writing grant applications and providing specialised research training. We also provide short courses in statistics and statistical software.
The service also provides statistical help to public bodies and private companies on a commercial basis.
The SAS is part of Imperial College London, ensuring that clients can take advantage of the staff's research expertise. The SAS was established in January 2004. Amid the help on offer is:
● Grant applications
● Scientific publications and statistical reports
● Study/Questionnaire design
● Power calculations
● Data analysis / Model building
● Statistical software
