Organisational and Staff Development

Postdoc Development Centre

Building on the past 4 years - What next?

Building on the past 4 years – What next?

It is particularly important for those on short term contracts to take control of their own development and career planning.
This three day residential course is directed to the needs of research staff and is especially suitable to those who have been on fixed term contracts for over 4 years either at Imperial College or another Higher Education Institute.
The course is highly participative and participants should be prepared to undertake a critical review of their strengths, skills and interests. Participants will be encouraged to explore career choices and options in a very broad sense before developing an action plan to help them achieve the next stage in their career path.
The programme will be facilitated by three highly experienced tutors all of whom have been postdocs and who therefore fully understand the issues and challenges faced by postdocs in developing their careers.
