Support/Development Opportunities

The Postdoc Development Centre exists to support the training and development of all postdocs at Imperial. We provide a fabulous choice of courses...but that is not all we do!
We have a range of different development opportunities available to you. We understand that not everyone is the same, and we try our best to provide something that is suitable and useful for you. Here are some of the things we provide:

The Next Generation Project

The Next generation Project (NGP) aims to use the wealth of scientific knowledge and enthusiasm within the postdoctoral research community at Imperial to ignite an interest in science by primary school children from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Read more >>>

We also offer:

  • Tailored programme of development activities for Junior Research Fellows
  • Support for departments and groups – e.g. postdoc meetings in departments

If there is an area that you would like us to cover that is not currently being provided by our courses and development programme then please let us know. We are delighted to get your feedback and ideas for improving our provision.

As members of staff postdocs are also entitled to attend courses provided by the Learning and Development Centre and the Educational Development Unit. These and other useful web links are provided.
