What do we do?

Asset Register

The Asset Register is a comprehensive list of all the buildings on each campus including summary tenure details. From this information you can view here a summary of all College property [pdf]  and space analysis charts [pdf]  showing a breakdown of Net Usable Areas by campus and by use.

Performance Monitoring - key performance indicators used annually to compare the performance of buildings, campuses and the estate as a whole with peer institutions.

Each year the College takes part in an Estates Management Statistics survey. This information is used to demonstrate performance. The survey helps UK Higher Education Institutions to:

  • improve strategy and decision making
  • monitor and enhance performance
  • demonstrate added value
  • communicate across the HE sector

Planning - monitoring national and local government policies which will affect College buildings

Planning Permission, Listed Buildings, Conservation Areas etc - guidance on when planning consent will be required or compliance with building regulations necessary
