I am Deputy Head of the Control & Power Research Group and within that I specialise in power electronics. We, as a group, focus on the technology to support the development of an electricity supply network that is able to accommodate new and renewable forms of energy. My own contribution to this is the power electronics for interfacing distributed generation and controlling power networks.
My teaching covers general aspects of power engineering and specific courses on power electronics and modelling. I am also year organiser for the 3rd year of the under-graduate programme.
