Project title: Scientists and the public: Studies in discourse and dialogue
Project timescale: October 2005-September 2007
I have degrees in Biochemistry (BSc 2001) and in Science Communication (MSc 2003), and have worked in exhibition development at the Science Museum, where I continue to freelance occasionally. My research focuses on the ways in which scientists and engineers construct publics, communication and science, and on how these constructions are worked out within 'dialogue' science events. I am also interested in theorising dialogue, particularly that which has no formal connections to science policy.
I also co-teach an undergraduate course, 'Communicating Science' .
