Markus is Senior Research Fellow in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Group at Imperial College Business School. He leads the Design and Services theme within the group. He is also Management Practices Fellow of the Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM). He is on the organizing comittee of the DRUID 2010 conference.
His research explores how organizations source knowledge externally and innovate collaboratively. He is particularly interested in how firms work with universities and how such collaboration can be organized.
Markus' industry experience stems from a role as head of innovation at an Internet start-up firm. In his research, he has collaborated with numerous companies, including GlaxoSmithKline, Orange, Marks & Spencer and Barclays. He has a PhD from Lancaster University.
