I received the BEng and MSc from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Belgrade University, Serbia and the PhD in physics from Imperial College London, UK. I was an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Belgrade University, Senior Research Fellow at the Dep. of Physics & Astronomy, University College London and now Wilfred Corrigan Research Fellow at the Centre for Bio-Inspired Technology, Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Current research interests:

  • Mathematical Biology/Computational Neuroscience
  • Optical Neural stimulation, 
  • Photocycles of Channelrhodopsin-2,
  • Phototransduction cascade in invertebrates,
  • Neural Implants (Optogenetic Retinal Implant)
  • Nanoelectronics - Fault tolerant architectures
