Personal background and education

I graduated from the University of Valencia, Spain, with a degree in Filología Anglogermánica followed by a doctorate on Audiovisual Translation, with particular emphasis on subtitling.

Before moving to Imperial College I was a Reader in Translation at Roehampton University, having previously worked as a translation and terminology assistant at the European Parliament in Luxembourg.

I also work as a freelance translator and interpreter and am regularly invited to talk on translation at other institutions and universities.
