I am the course leader for the MSc in Science Communication and I lecture on media theory and science journalism. I have a PhD in theoretical physics from Newcastle University and was a lecturer in astronomy at Sussex University before deciding to focus on critical analyses of science.
I joined the Science Communication group at Imperial in 2001. My research interests include the popularisation of physics and other aspects of the science/public interface. My recent research looks at the role of science fictional narratives and militaristic discourses in contemporary asteroid research.
