Information for School Students and Parents

The Outreach Office at Imperial College London encourages students of all ages to participate in science activities to promote STEM subjects. In recent years this work has been supported and expanded through an operational partnership link with Exscitec – an organisation which develops programmes of activity for promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths education. The following links will provide more information on what courses are running throughout the year at Imperial.

• Open Days: Thinking about applying to Imperial?
  Come and visit or talk to staff from the College at one of our undergraduate or postgraduate open days.
• Demonstration Lectures: Visit Imperial College for a fun and informative lecture by one of our academics followed by a campus tour.
• Residential Practical Science Activities: Find out more about our residential summer schools.
• Non-residential Practical Science Activities: Find out more about our one day and short courses through out the year.
• Departmental Outreach: Individual Departments also
  run outreach activities. Please see indiviual events for details of how to apply.
• Reach Out Lab: A new facility for hands on science
  and engineering activities.

Work Experience

Unfortunately the Outreach department is unable to arrange work experience placements at Imperial College. If you are in year 12 and living in London or Hampshire you may apply to the Nuffield Bursary Scheme for 4-6 week placements during July and August.
