President Alice Gast with award-winners
The 2015 President's Awards for Excellence in Research and Education were presented to staff last week by Professor Alice Gast, President of Imperial.
The awards, announced in May, celebrate the achievements of staff in a variety of areas, from Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Research stream, to Pastoral Care in the Education stream.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Professor Gast said: "This is a special occasion to celebrate staff members who have gone above and beyond to achieve excellence. It is a joy to present these awards and to express our pride in your excellent work.”
She added: “In our strategy we say that we will share the impact and achievements of our staff across all disciplines, functions and activities so that their work and contribution to our mission is recognised and celebrated. This afternoon is one of our efforts to do this.”
