A symposium honouring Professor Douglas Inman on the occasion of his 80th birthday, was held at the MS9 Symposium in June 2011.
A symposium honouring Professor Douglas Inman (Emeritus Professor in the Department) on the occasion of his 80th birthday, was held at the 9th International Symposium on Molten Salts Chemistry and Technology (MS 9) in Trondheim, Norway 5 – 9 June 2011. The event celebrated Professor Inman’s valuable contributions to the field of molten salts over many decades. In addition, the Centre for CO2 Technology at UCL have established a new award named the Inman Medal to mark the ‘outstanding scientific contribution’ Professor Inman has made to electrochemical science and technology. Professor Inman, the first recipient of the award, was presented with the solid gold medal at an awards ceremony held at UCL on 16 June 2011.
