Congratulations to Hannah Moran on receiving the Salters' Graduate Prize 2015!

Hannah Moran became the fourth Imperial Chemical Engineering undergraduate in the last five years to receive the prestigious Salters' Graduate Prize.

She was one of five chemical engineers in the UK to be chosen for the award and was presented with a prize of £1000 at Fishmongers’ Hall on Tuesday 15th of December at the prize-giving ceremony attended by over 170 guests.

The Salters’ Graduate Prizes are awarded every year to 10 outstanding final-year students from the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering disciplines. The Salters' Institute plays a role in supporting the teaching of chemistry and encourages young people to pursue careers in the UK chemical industries. As such, the prize is awarded to candidates who not only have exceptional academic records but also to those who have demonstrated potential for leadership in public life.

Candidates for the prize were judged on their understanding of the chemical industry, their ability to initiate technological change and their ability to communicate with and co-opt others in an effort to widen the UK’s industrial base for the future.
