The Institute of Global Health Innovation’s Helix Centre are excited to announce the launch of the End of Life Challenge, in partnership with OpenIDEO – an open innovation platform – and Sutter Health.

It is a global effort to start radical conversations around the end of life experience. HELIX are helping lead a global community, collaborating with each other to design new ideas for enhancing the experience of death and dying.

The challenge being set to the global audience is: How might we reimagine the end-of-life experience for ourselves and our loved ones?

This OpenIDEO challenge is an inspiring place to collaborate with people from around the world on this topic, collectively improve new ideas, get feedback from ourselves and other experts and potentially get a fresh innovation off the ground. It’s also a place to boost your creative problem solving skills.

HELIX are really keen to hear from people who are facing end of life choices, as well as clinicians, healthcare workers, families and carers who understand the problems around end of life care, who have innovative ideas to the question: How might we reimagine the end-of-life experience for ourselves and our loved ones?

The HELIX Centre are particularly interested in ideas that aim to improve the last days and hours of life for people and families, whether that is in a hospital, hospice or at home.

They are calling a global community to action. Share your stories and reflections, and ideas with them. To find out more visit the OpenIDEO challenge website, and submit experiences, inspirations or ideas by June 27!
