The British National Formulary (BNF) and British National Formulary for Children (BNFC) have launched a new, faster, easier to use and access app.

NICE has confirmed that its BNF app will be withdrawn later this year.

The new app combines the BNF and BNFC content into one platform, detailing the medicines licensed in the UK and how they should be prescribed, including their side-effects, contra-indications and doses.

The new app has been purpose built for iOS and Android platforms. This has enabled an intuitive design and enhanced features around search and interactions checking and updating.

The new app is fully portable and users don’t need to be connected to WiFi to access it on the go.

Make sure you get the new version of this app. The old BNF and BNFC apps from NICE are no longer being updated and will be withdrawn later in the year.
