The Pensions Office provide information on all pension matters direct to staff and in relation to any potential or planned retirements through the HR teams. The College Pension Schemes are USS, SAUL, NHS, FSSU and FPS.

One of the many benefits of joining the staff of Imperial College is access to membership of a final benefit Occupational Pension Scheme. Membership of a pension scheme is not compulsory but new members of staff are deemed to be in membership providing they have been issued with a contract of employment for 2 months. Members of USS and SAUL participate in the schemes
under the PensionSMART contribution method which reduces the amount of National Insurance Contributions
that they pay each month, resulting in higher take home pay.
