MPhil /PhD (DOCTORAL) OVERVIEW
The Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine offers a MPhil / PhD doctoral programme. Students can register for this programme on either a full-time or part-time basis. Full-time students are normally expected to complete their PhD thesis within three years, with the possibility of additional months for completion of the final draft and viva. The Centre also offers an MPhil research degree; full-time students are expected to complete their MPhil dissertation within two years, part-time students in four.
CHoSTM's PhD training programme includes an active seminar series part of which requires students to regularly present their work before other members of the Centre.
