The Department of Earth Science and Engineering offers a wide range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Geoscience and Geoengineering.

Our undergraduate courses in Geology, Geophysics and Geoscience have a modular structure and provide students with the flexibility and choice to design in detail their own degree programme.

Postgraduate Masters courses within the Department focus on our expertise in Petroleum Engineering and Petroleum Geoscience, and are designed to provide high-level profesional vocational training. We also run a course jointly with the Business School in metals and Energy Finance.

The Department offers a wide range of PhD opportunities in fields of research as diverse as Planetary Science, Mineral Processing, Isotope Geochemistry, Environmental Engineering and Computational Geophysics.
