Department of  Earth Science and Engineering

Earth Science and Engineering

Department of Earth Science and Engineering is part of the Royal School of Mines and the Faculty of Engineering.

We are a multi-disciplinary department, and our research and teaching span both Earth science and Earth engineering.

The Department holds world class scores for the quality of both its teaching and research. In the 2008 research assessment, all the department's research was evaluated as excellent and of international significance. The department also received leading scores in the most recent teaching quality assessment.
