The Department has a long tradition of successful relations with industry, with collaborations including research projects, supervision of undergraduate and MSc projects, industrial placements and student sponsorship. There are three primary streams of interaction:

• The Corporate Partnership Programme is designed to facilitate recruitment and other interactions between companies and students (including Industrial Placements, technical talks and prizes).
• The Industrial Liaison Board advises the Department on strategic issues and concerns relating to research, teaching and our interface with industry.
• Consultancy agreements for contract research can be tailored to meet individual company requirements.
