Department Overview

The Department of Computing at Imperial is recognised as one of the leading research departments in Europe. It is the largest computing department in the UK that has consistently achieved the top rating in all of the Government’s  Research Assessment Exercises (RAE).

The Department has a long tradition of successful relations with industry, with collaborations including research projects, supervision of undergraduate and MSc projects, industrial placements and student sponsorship. The Department has about 50 academics, 70 research assistants and about 100 research students.
