Centre for Molecular Microbiology and Infection

Welcome to the CMMI

CMMI logoWelcome to the website for the Centre for Molecular Microbiology and Infection (CMMI) at Imperial College, London. The CMMI is a multi-disciplinary research facility that incorporates scientists from the Department of Life Sciences within the Faculty of Natural Sciences and the Division of Infectious Diseases within the Faculty of Medicine. The Centre is housed mainly in a purpose-built facility in the Flowers Building on the South Kensington campus of Imperial College.

The building and infrastructure support was provided by The Wellcome Trust in response to peer reviewed scientific grant applications. To date, over £10m of core support has been provided to establish the Centre, in addition to programme and project grants held by individual centre members. The Centre currently holds over £20m in active research grants.

The centre is an international centre of excellence for research in the area and provides an ideal working environment for scientists embarking on a career in research.
