It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology at Imperial College London. The aim of the Department is to be one of the world's leading institutions in both the teaching and research of chemical engineering and technology.

Research:
Research is organised into eleven multidisciplinary focus areas which cover most aspects of chemical engineering and related scientific disciplines. We have a large research school with over 140 graduate students studying for the PhD degree.
Courses:
Two four-year undergraduate MEng degree courses are offered. The excellence of the Department's teaching was recognised in the latest UK-wide Teaching Quality Assessment by the award of 22 points out of a maximum possible score of 24. Four postgraduate MSc courses are also offered.
