Fairtrade
The Churches, along with other partners, have been in the forefront of responding to global poverty, through campaigns for debt relief for the poorest nations and as part of the campaign for Trade Justice.
As a part of this wider movement the Chaplaincy have been promoting Fairtrade goods at Imperial for the last eight years. In 2008, the Chaplaincy acquired Fairtrade status. Look out for Fairtrade awareness events around the campus, especially in Fairtrade Fortnight every March.
Due to the wide range of Fairtrade products available in the Union newsagents, the JCR and several other outlets on campus, we no longer sell Fairtrade products in the Chaplaincy - success!
If you would like to be involved with promoting Fairtrade, please contact us.
The Chaplaincy is delighted to be able to use Fairtrade communion wine for our services.
