Message from the Head of Department, Professor C Ross Ethier

It gives me great pleasure to introduce the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London to you. A main focus of the discipline of bioengineering is to improve human health, and this is one aspect of the field that attracts the very best students and researchers from around the world. Imperial is a remarkably fertile location for this enterprise, bringing together researchers across engineering, natural sciences and medicine. Thanks to this environment, and the efforts of our staff and students, we will continue to lead the bioengineering agenda nationally and internationally.
